I am so excited about this recipe, you guys. And in general about this post, for many reasons. But when IZZE soda contacted me and asked if they could send over some delicious fruity soda, the first thing I thought was this: Golden. Cocktail. Opportunity. Welcome to the Orangey Peach Tom Collins.
Regular club soda/seltzer is great. However, it is so fun to have put a fruity spin on the Tom Collins (something I’ve done in the past, but differently).
But they did not actually just send me some soda to try. They also sent food. And crafts. Basically it was the best package of all time. The idea was to gather some friends and have an #IZZEfriendsday (so again, golden cocktail opportunity).
IZZE sent over this delicious meal from Plated, which is a service that delivers fresh ingredients to your door, for a very reasonable price, I might add. All you have to do is follow the directions:
The produce was in great shape, the herbs were fresh and everything seemed to be good quality ingredients.
I chose a Ricotta Gnudi with Asparagus and Peas, and we had a ton of fun making it with our friends Callie and Aaron.
The crafts they sent were in little kits called Brit Kits.
They were new to me, but I gave it a shot and LOOK WHAT I MADE:
That would be a necklace made out of basically zippers and super glue. I feel like such a badass. And I got a ton of compliments on it today when I wore it to work.
Anyway. Basically, it was a box of all of the fun things. We had a great time preparing the Plated meal with our friends, drinking IZZE sodas and I am SO proud of my crafted necklace. But did you want to know about that cocktail recipe?
Here’s what you need:
1 1/2 oz. gin
1 1/2 oz. orange juice
2 dashes of orange bitters
1/2 Sparkling Peach IZZE soda
Fill a tall collins glass with ice, and add in the gin, orange juice and bitters. Stir to combine and chill, then top with IZZE Sparkling Peach soda.
