One of Indianapolis’s favorite Chinese restaurants has opened up in a new location on 465 and Washington and is finally open for business. Originally, this eatery was set to open months ago but was plagued by delays due to construction issues and hidden building costs. It seems that the wait was worth it, and if you’re a fan of theirs in the Eastside of the city then you should be happy with the outcome.

Over the years, Tian Fu has gained a stellar reputation within the Indy food scene and its fried rice is the stuff of legends. Hopefully, the new location will be just as good – but as ever with a new location, you never know regarding the difference in staff and chefs that will be used.

It isn’t just Chinese food that they serve too. As seen above, it also serves a number of Japanese dishes too. Often, people are quick to judge places that mix different types of food, but in the case of Tian Fu – it genuinely works. Some locals have even claimed that there’s a ‘secret’ Chinese menu as well, however this has yet to be confirmed.

Overall, it’s just nice to see a new business in the Eastside that will probably do well. Sadly, there’s been many restaurant failures over time who have come and gone in the area. However, if the Eastside Tian Fu is anything like its predecessor then it will be around for years to come.
