Adorable Husky up for free adoption due to one TRAGIC reason

July 2, 2023 by 9 Comments

Located in Oklahoma City, this beautiful husky-pit mix is available for free to a good home. The dog is a female who is microchipped with up to date shots and is also great around other animals. In short, she sounds like the ideal dog who is equally loving and loyal. So, what’s the catch?

According to the owner, “I just had a baby and I cannot take care of her the way I want to anymore” which is a sad but common reason why dogs often end up re-homed. However, it sounds like the dog is perfect and is even potty trained. The one thing not mentioned in the advert is her age – but based on the photos, it looks as though this girl is under 5 years old and doesn’t look too old.

How could you not say no to those cute eyes? This dog also comes with a metal crate and other accessories, so all you need to do is provide a loving home. Of course, this comes with a huge responsibility, and you shouldn’t go into dog adoption in two minds.

With this being said, if you do have the time, love, and resources, then she could make a wonderful pet, and sounds like the perfect catch. On a positive note, due to her cute temperament – we can positively assume that she will find a good home in no time. Until then, check out the Craigslist ad if you’re interested or let someone know if they’re a dog lover. The location is Northwest 10th Street in Oklahoma City.

You should be ashamed of yourself you had that one before you had the new one you’re not right at all in the head

    I.would love to have her

Her demeanor seems calm and sweet. I pray she finds a good, kind and loving home. I would love to have her but I live in an assisted living facility; we can’t have a dog or cat over 20 lbs. Dogs and cats enhance our lives so much. I so miss not having a dog. If possible, treat yourself to the love of a dog, or cat who desperately needs a home. Most of the time, if they aren’t adopted you know what will happen. Save a life to enhance yours!

I would love to have her I lost my dog to age and having hard time trying to replace her

Contact a rescue. If you love your dog be responsible and rehome safely. Craigslist is NOT safe.

  6. Lisa says:

She is obviously selfish. Should be ashamed of herself for giving up a family pet because of a baby.

I agree with you 100%. Life can be challenging but always rewarding and worthwhile in the future. E.g. I moved to my roommate due cost living spiking. I was overwhelmed with 3 big and 2 little dogs and I have myself 3 cats. Now I am very happy that I am still living with them and its very manageable. It does not happen overnight. It takes patient and love. I am pretty sure that this guilt will eat her up and will stay with her for the rest of her life. She can teach her dog to become helper and watch baby always under her watch. Why having the pet at first place?? Selfish is the right word.

Craigslist is not the right way to rehome your dog. There are many people out there with bad intentions so you may be setting her up for death sentence. Find a local rescue. What you are doing is already irresponsible enough, but at least try to do it as humanely as possible.

I totally agree with everyone who says this pet owner is selfish. And they are also right about Craigslist, that is not a safe place to rehome your dog
