Portland, Oregon has certain stereotypes such as its great nature, weird culture, and well…hipsters. Honestly, there’s nothing wrong with having a big hipster population in Portland and if anything, this should be embraced.

It seems this reputation hasn’t gone unnoticed with AI either. Recently, a mid-journey image showed AI’s take on a Portland couple and they looked pretty accurate. This included a man with thick glasses, a cloth shirt, and a blue jacket – alongside a woman with a similar outfit. Now, without being too arrogant, they’re also admittedly pretty good-looking too. Perhaps this whole AI thing is fairly accurate after all.

Reacting to the couple, PDX residents claimed the only thing missing was a Carhartt hat! While others said the woman looked uncannily like your average Portland woman. Furthermore, one person even went as far as to joke, “Wow! Where did you find this picture of me and my wife?” Others even mentioned that he had a nice jacket, which was similar to their own.

Overall, the consensus is that this image is pretty spot-on and captures your average Portlanders very well. This can either be seen as a good thing or that it’s depressingly predictable. For a city that prides itself on its authenticity, this shows that perhaps we’re not as unique as we like to think. Still, compared to certain other cities, as someone from Portland you can’t complain about the outcome and it could certainly be worse!
