Amazon Delivery Van CRASHES in Phoenix – Leading to delayed packages
If you didn’t receive your Amazon package yesterday and were located in the Shea neighborhood of Phoenix, then there may have been a particular reason why. This is because footage showed the local Amazon delivery van toppled over after the driver lost control of the wheel.
Although accidental, you could also see the sheer damage to the van as the road was filled with debris after. Thankfully, no one was hurt – but undoubtedly the van will need a lot of expensive repairs. This was also a Rivian electric van which has been recently rolled out as part of the latest Amazon delivery fleet.
Perhaps the nicest part of the story shows the residents teaming together to get the driver out of the truck. Due to the way that it had toppled, he needed assistance climbing out of the door which was now vertical.
Speaking on the incident, a local eyewitness said this was what happened, “I drove past it while it was still flipped and the cops had just shown up. Everyone seemed chill all things considered, so I’m assuming no one was injured. There was a car in the turn lane there that looked like it was involved, so I don’t think this was just the van flipping over on its own. Seemed either it made contact or swerved to avoid making contact with the other car on the scene.”
In life, some things like Amazon products are nice, but this is a good example of kindness and true community spirit in the 44th & Shea neighborhood area. And, let’s face it – a delayed package by a day or so isn’t going to hurt anyone. Knowing Amazon though, they probably still delivered things on time!
