Are these the most SELFISH drivers in Orlando? Residents seem to think so
The 4th of July weekend often seems to bring out the worst in some people. And this was witnessed over the weekend when a score of selfish Orlando drivers seemed more than happy to break the law without much thought.
This video was captured via dashcam and uploaded to the popular website Reddit, whereby it was captioned with one word, ‘chaos‘. In fairness, this was very appropriate and showed scenes more akin to a Fast and Furious movie than regular, pedestrian driving.
This took place on the 417/I-4 interchange in Orlando and saw drivers literally going off-road and cutting corners to save time on their journey. Not only was this dangerous but also selfish for other road users.
Having said this, not everyone viewed it as surprising – with one commenting, “That’s not chaos. Chaos is unpredictable. This happens all the time.” while another local claimed: “I just KNEW by one glance that this was 417, I-4 heading towards Tampa. That spot has always been bad.” In short, you know something’s gone badly wrong when the locals are cynical.
Unfortunately, this kind of reckless driving seems like a way of life on this spot and probably won’t change any time soon. However, one solution could be to implement some kind of physical barrier that would literally stop people from doing this. Until then, sadly these actions aren’t going to change any time soon.
