Are these the trashiest car stickers in Minneapolis? ‘Sad’ stickers puzzle locals
Compared to certain US cities, Minneapolis has a pretty solid reputation most of the time. However, this is not one of those occasions. In a photo pictured in E Hennepin Ave, the car shown in front has some of the strangest (and trashiest?) stickers that you could possibly see on the back of a vehicle. These had a theme of sadness, which may have been ironic, but even still, it’s a pretty weird theme to plaster all over your car.
Setting the tone is the custom number plate. This reads “Sadg1rl” which probably cost a small fortune to begin with. This was accompanied by various bumper stickers that read, “Don’t honk, I’m busy crying to real friends!”, “How’s my crying?”, and “I can’t hear your honking. I’m busy shaking my butt to real friends.”
While these stickers were pretty absurd, they did provide a few jokes and if nothing else, provided a funny talking point amongst locals. Here they wrote, “Looks like girl is on the wedge intersection, of course she’s sad.” whereas another quipped, “I’d be sad if I were driving a Subaru Tribeca too.”
Overall, we’re not sure if this was some kind of quirky ‘in-joke’, or whether it was a genuine cry for help. Nonetheless, you’d be hard-pressed to find such an obscure car in the entire Minneapolis area. On a final, serious note however – if these stickers are serious, hopefully the driver can find help soon.
