Bargain of the century? Someone in Raleigh just made THOUSANDS off this one deal
They say that if a deal sounds too good to be true, then it usually is. In this case, a genuinely brilliant opportunity for someone in Raleigh just happened – and someone out there just made thousands on one deal. So, what happened exactly?
On Facebook, the Habitat ReStore shop in Durham/Chapel Hill put out an announcement yesterday that they had Herman Miller office chairs for sale. These were all photographed together and were being sold for $80 a piece. Now, under usual circumstances, you may think that $80 for a single chair sounds a bit much. However, this is Herman Miller we’re talking about, which is a highly desirable chair brand.
In fact, a quick glance on eBay shows that used Herman Miller chairs can easily fetch over $500. This particular model is called the ‘Aeron’. In other words, you could easily have purchased one and sold it for $400 on Craigslist – walking away with a healthy $320 profit.
If you’re looking to cash in on this, then sadly it turns out that these chairs have since sold out – and according to social media, someone purchased them all. After looking at the original picture, it looks as though there were at least 20 of the chair. This means if you purchased them all and sold them for $400, then you would profit $6400.
This just goes to show that sometimes, shopping around places like Habitat ReStore and other thrift places may just pay off and if you’re looking to flip stuff in Raleigh, NC then profit can be found.
