Bole Maka Ska Pavilion Rebuild on its way in Minneapolis
Originally built in the 1930s, the Bole Maka Ska Pavilion had been a staple of Minneapolis until it sadly burned down in 2019. Back in 2021, plans emerged for a rebuild and now it looks well on its way. This photo was taken this week and shows how the pavilion is getting along. In fact, it looks like it will be open for business pretty soon.
This pavilion has been described as a green space with fountains, fireplaces, and communal seating. Of course, the main focal point of this is the view which overlooks the water. Although there isn’t a set date given yet, it is due to open at some point in August. And, based on the photos, this looks about right.
There is still one big question that remains to be answered though, whether the indoor section of the pavilion will serve beer! So far, there is no information on whether this is happening. Nonetheless, it would be a pretty cool feature, especially during the summer and would arguably add to the space.
In short, this is a positive story and shows that even when things get destroyed, sometimes they return even better and bigger than before. The good news is that it’s only one month away as well so watch this space.
