Brazen Car does illegal turns RIGHT in front of a Portland cop car who does nothing

Recently, a video captured the attention of thousands in Portland as it showed a Portland Police car do absolutely nothing in the face of criminal activity. This footage was taken right outside of the Lloyd Center and showed a grey sports car drift dangerously while revving up its motor.

This literally happened right in front of the aforementioned police car which timidly drove off in the opposite direction. As if that wasn’t already bad enough, the driver and passenger of the sports car threw up lewd gestures to the police car as they continued their reign of dangerous driving. If nothing else, this acts as a bad example that Portland is weak on crime, which is a sad stereotype that it has garnered over the years.

The Twitter community also reacted in shock to this video, with comments including: “Any cops still on this neutered force are only concerned with their pay and benefits.” and “My daughter lives in Portland. The police do nothing. Lots of gun violence, store robberies and miles and miles of homeless people on drugs. There’s needles, sewage, etc. It’s insane. Portland used to be an eclectic tourist city. Freeways are lined on both sides with tents. Housing is unaffordable and people end up on the street. It’s Really sad.”

And, while we’d like to disagree with these comments and call them hyperbole – it does indeed seem like there’s unfortunately a lot truth in them. Sadly, this wasn’t an isolated incident and you can almost guarantee that a similar video will surface in the near future.

    I wholeheartedly agree with you on your take on Portland OR When I moved to Portland in 1991 this was a Beautiful City. Downtown was Magnificent. And the Lloyd Center was “To Die For” Now look at this Deplorable Cesspool. What Went Wrong!!!
