While thieving isn’t too uncommon, it’s not every day that you see a thief donning a full ninja costume either. This image was taken recently from a local watersports business and in a bizarre twist, the ninja was apparently trying to steal a paddleboard before being spooked.

Now, you don’t have to be a genius to appreciate that stealing a paddleboard isn’t the best item economically. Not only are they not very expensive, but they’re also bulky and difficult to carry. Clearly, this robber needs to go back to ninja training and re-think their strategy.

On a serious note, they did get away with a PFD floatation device which can sell for around $10 used. Again, this begs the question of why they stole this particular item – but from the business’s point of view, it’s still a nuisance.

Unsurprisingly, this ninja was the source of a lot of mockery online – with many comparing him to Igor from Frankenstein, Gollum, and one even said he was a part of “Crack-jitsu.” Funnily enough, despite his black outfit – the irony was that his face was still in full vision which defeated the purpose of trying to dress in a stealthy fashion.
