Controversial Tier List Divides Portland’s Residents Over Boba Tea Stores – But Do YOU Agree?
On a tier list shared to social media, users rated both Royal Tea and Tiki Tea extremely well, ranking the two rival stores in the super tier. Royal Tea is located in Shun Fat supermarket 97266, where as Tiki Tea is a standalone and very well presented store which can be found in 97211.
However, Kung Fu Tea and Bobablastic couldn’t manage to find their way out of F & D tiers respectively. Both of these stores also have mixed reviews on google with some customers complaining that they are overpriced and poor quality compared to the competition.
The Taiwanese drink is probably one of the biggest success stories of the last two decades. Before this, it was pretty unheard of in the west, or at the very least a niche beverage. Since then, it has exploded in popularity with 17 stores on the Portland tier list alone. Of course, there are likely many other boba tea stores which haven’t been mentioned.
Do you agree with this tier list or would you have changed some things around? Please let us know in the comments.

About Boba Tea:
Boba tea, also known as bubble tea or pearl milk tea, is a type of Taiwanese tea-based drink that typically includes tea, milk, sugar, and chewy tapioca balls (also known as boba or pearls). The drink originated in Taiwan in the 1980s and has since become popular worldwide.
Boba tea’s popularity can be attributed to its unique taste, texture, and appearance. The tapioca balls add a chewy texture to the drink, while the tea and milk provide a creamy and refreshing taste. In addition, boba tea shops often offer a wide range of flavors and customizable options, allowing customers to create their own unique drinks.
Another reason for boba tea’s popularity is its social appeal. Boba tea shops often serve as gathering places for young people to hang out and socialize. Many boba tea shops have a trendy and Instagram-worthy atmosphere that appeals to young customers who are looking for a fun and visually appealing experience.
Overall, boba tea’s popularity can be attributed to its unique taste, texture, customizable options, and social appeal.
