CRAZY Tornado Storm shows dangerous driving conditions in Miramar Beach
Over the past few days, a major weather warning was given to Florida. Well, based on this video – we now know why. Filmed by a taxi driver in Miramar Beach, you can see the incredibly dangerous driving conditions. Firstly, visibility was lessened due to the heavy downpour of rain, which in itself made driving harder.
Secondly, the winds from the tornado were incredibly powerful and had ripped up trees from their roots. As a result, there were literally huge trees obstructing the road which only added to the bedlam. In the same video, the driver had to stop multiple times to avoid trees and huge gusts of wind that would drop bucketful of rain onto his windscreen.
Twitter users commented on the storm, saying “I’m several miles south of there in a different county but the weather was terrible around my house for almost 2 straight hours with wind, lightning, and rain. Nastiest storm I’ve seen ever been through outside a hurricane and I’ve been through several.” And other person wrote, “I live in what’s called Tornado Alley. We had to take shelter twice over the weekend. WHY are they out driving?”
In fairness, the latter makes a very important point. With weather conditions like this, you shouldn’t be out driving. As seen, it’s simply too dangerous and could end in tragedy. With this in mind, we urge Floridians to exercise caution this week regarding the weather.
