Denver residents are NOT happy with this towing company which is described as ‘predatory’

Recently, a Denver towing company has been described as ‘predatory‘, and it turns out that a lot of people from the city have had bad experiences with them. This came after a post on social media which said “They towed my dad’s car from a perfectly legal spot at my apartment complex” and later demanded a $375 fee for returning it.

Sadly, it took the user a whopping 12 hours to get his father’s car returned, which was thankfully done for free. Regardless, you’d still be incredibly annoyed and this is not good behavior, considering that their father had done nothing wrong. The business in question was apparently Wyatt’s Towing, who do not have a good reputation around these parts and based on this story, it’s not difficult to understand why.

This prompted many similar stories, with another Denver local claiming: “My fiance and I disputed a tow with these scumbags, and while it took a year of waiting we got every penny back. They towed us from a place with no signs, denied they had the car until after hours, and then put up signs. (We took pictures before the latter happened.)”

Now, you don’t need to be a lawyer to understand what has gone on here. Nonetheless, it’s still a sad reality that this sort of stuff continues to go on in this day and age, and is relatively unpunished as well. Thankfully, there are some ways to counter such bad practices. One is by reporting them to the Denver council – which may just help get something done. If you’ve been affected by Wyatt’s Towing then please let us know in the comments.

I had my car parked in front of my house and they towed it and said it was down the block on a fire lane. They were no help over the phone so I called the cops and the tow truck brought it back within 10 minutes. They are criminals and should be out of business.

I was parked in a handicap parking and myhandicap plaquard fell on the seat. I don’t that they looked inside the car, they towed it and wouldn’t listen to my story . I told them it was on the seat and they just didn’t want to hear it. Had to pay $375 to get my car back. They are truly predators just waiting to pounce.

They towed my vehicle from a paid parking spot during a Rockies game. When I presented them with the paid and dated ticket they said they contract with the apartments there and I would have to dispute it with them. Of course the apartments were closed over the weekend and I needed my vehicle so I had no choice but to pay (after hours fees also) and when I did speak with the apartments finally I was given the run around and was directed back to Wyatt’s towing. Biggest criminals ever.

Exactly well my placard was on dash clearly in sight and Wyatt’s towed my car from my apartment parked in the freaking paid assigned parking spot and they must be in cahoots with these places because I felt like it was them against me and I lost the fight when all that occurred and it was wrong and damnit I knew it thanks to that I lost my car because it caused me to lose my job I lost my apartment and everything in it. I had to move to Texas so I would not freeze to death till I can get back on my feet because now I’m homeless starting over. I’m glad that others are standing up to them that’s what it’s gonna take.

They towed my car one night from my dad’s shop when we were working overnight. My car was the only car on the lot ( we carpooled) they towed it and put up a no parking sign. On private property. My dad was furious, this is equivalent to theft, and it’s illegal to tow from private property. This company is the most predatory and dis honest company. Their lot staff is just as awful

I’ve had my vehicle towed by this company twice from my own home, and while I was parked In My very own assigned parking space. The first time, I didn’t think anything of it and just paid the fee because I needed transportation, but the second time was I thought to myself “why am I paying scam artists for towing illegally, they need to be reported for unlawfully towing
” I didn’t know who to contact so I called the police and all they said they could do was call the company and ask for the vehicle to be returned at no cost. They did so and the tow company denied and by then it was over $400 to have my car released and it hadn’t even been a full 24 hours. Later on, I ended up getting into a car accident and Wyatts happened to be who was towing the vehicle to a different location for placing of a totalled vehicle. I requested the vehicle be dropped off at my home address and they took it to their tow yard and requested fees to get the car back when they wrongfully took the vehicle in the first place.

They towed my car, and I went to get it first thing in the morning. The attendant looked right at me, turned off the lights, and told me I could wait.

They are the most scandalous towing company i have ever dealt with. And the sad part is they are getting away with stuff. A couple of my cars were towed from this trashy company. Something has to be done about this.

Had my car towed right in front of my apartment, of which I have lived in and have parked in front of for over 6 years. After chasing them for nearly 6 miles, and them pretending not to see me, stated they couldn’t release the car, since it was on public property now. I had started flagging them down very obviously well before off complex property. My car had sat for 12 hours til opening, and I had to pay almost 400 dollars. This company is nothing short of thieving and corrupt. They need to be put out of business!

  11. N/A says:

At my old apartment complex we had these parking permits to buy online every month , even if it’s 5 min of expiring , they will still tow your vehicle , I lived at my old place for maybe 5 months, and got my car towed over 4 times , they’ve gotten over $2,000 outta me ,

  12. Cayenne says:

This company has towed my son’s car 3 times and mine twice living in an apartment that we paid to park in and still was getting towed! They are scum bags, meth heads and vultures! They’ve been in business for decades! Hopefully all of this puts them out of business

They attempted to tow my car right in front of my house, stating it was in a fire lane. My neighbors across the street was watching, and stopped them. They refused to leave so the cops were called. The cops made him leave when they arrived.
