A recent image went viral on social media whereby the person that uploaded the photo wasn’t happy with the amount of trash being dumped in Memphis. According to them, the picture below was accumulated within two days and they said, “I’m so sick of all the careless and disgusting humans, who claim to be Memphians, trashing our great city.”

In fairness, there is a lot of trash there and the sad thing is, this could have easily been disposed of quickly as it’s not like there aren’t many public bins found around Memphis either. Interestingly, the same person also spilled the tea on various big businesses around the city which they claimed weren’t pulling their weight either.

In a shock confession, they claimed “The majority of Memphis businesses are not doing their part in keeping our city clean. At least, from what I have seen, nearly every parking lot in the city is trashed and they’ve been like that for a while. The Home Depot on Riverdale, that whole shopping center, Ross, etc is always such a mess…”

Irrespective of their passion, it’s nice to see someone do something about a cause they believe in. With this in mind, next time you’re out and about in Memphis, make sure to do your bit and if you have rubbish on you – make sure it ends in a trash can, instead of on the ground.
