Eastbound GNO crash sees two cars pinned under truck
Traffic on Eastbound GNO in New Orleans has been gridlocked today after a bad crash saw two cars pinned under a truck. As you can see in the image below, emergency crews arrived on the scene to try and rescue the cars but other than that – not much information is known.
As with the serious nature of the crash, we can only cross our fingers and hope for the best that everyone is involved. Having said this, the idea of cars stuck under a large truck sounds very bad as far as car accidents go.
Because of the severity and size of the crash, this has created a long traffic jam whereby cars have been advised to take alternate routes for the time being. This lane closure could easily last for several hours while things are getting sorted out.
Irrespective of slow traffic, the real issue here lies with the cars involved in this scene, and as mentioned earlier, we hope it looks worse than it is. Thankfully, sometimes you can get car crashes that look awful – but people manage to get out of them without any injuries. So, hopefully this is the case here.
Unfortunately, this is arguably one of the most dangerous roads in New Orleans and is infamous for crashes and car accidents – which are often made worse by the speeds that certain cars travel at while using the stretch.
