Fantasy Las Vegas rail map gets locals all saying the same thing
A recent fantasy Las Vegas transport map went viral for all the right reasons. This was comprised of three components, including a monorail, BRT, and suburban rail track. Although a project of this ambition would probably cost billions and take years to complete, it’s still gone down well due to how awesome it would make for people traveling around the city. It’s no secret that at times, Las Vegas can be a bit of a pain – especially around certain times of day. So, this idea would be a welcome relief for Las Vegas commuters.
Speaking on the map, one local put it perfectly when they said, “Who are the people that are needed to be voted in to make this happen?” which showed just how popular it was. However, not everyone agreed. One person chimed in saying, “I appreciate the effort but that’s a lot of stops, I imagine it would take quite some time to get around? If so, I would probably still just take an Uber.” Similarly, another said, “It only covers half the city.”
Having said this, most people were more than delighted with the proposal – and it seems that not everyone can be pleased. At the same time, it does look as if the north west part of the city is quite neglected. This map was originally posted on Reddit by a user named ‘theoditsek’ and it seems as though a lot of effort went into the design.
Sadly, the reality is that something like this may never happen. As mentioned earlier, it would be very convenient but in terms of logistics, the harsh truth is that will probably never be anything more than just an idea.
The map refers to McCarran Airport. That makes it a bit outdated.
