A ‘Guard log‘ is for sale in Perry, Oklahoma and was found on Facebook Marketplace. This log is quite small but has pretty sharp-looking teeth and is accompanied by a sign reading: “Beware of the log”. It also comes with a chain to hold it back from attacking people. Having said this, it’s not known how well-trained this log actually is or whether it’s ok around humans or other pets.

Unfortunately, this log isn’t cheap and is priced at $2,500. Nonetheless, if you can afford it then you can’t put a price on the protection of your family home. Reacting on social media, one Oklahoman wrote, “His bark is bigger than his bite.” which is about the best pun going for something of this nature.

Elsewhere, others compared the log to the Chain Chunk villain from Mario Bros. Irrespective of this, it seems that the person who created this advert is both equally creative while simultaneously having too much time on their hands.

According to statistics however, the price of owning a dog in Oklahoma is roughly $1,700 per year, so over the lifetime, this log is probably a far cheap bet compared to owning an actual dog. Still, whether it’s as reliable remains to be seen. On a serious note, it’s nice to see someone around here with a bit of humor.
