Hawaiians WARNED of Rise in Pyramid Schemes
Hawaiians have recently been warned of a rise in Pyramid schemes on social media. Although these MLM schemes have been around for years, they seem to be more common in modern-day Hawaii. And, locals have been wanted not to fall for them – as otherwise you’ll be likely to part with your time and money.
This comes after one resident said a business called “Primerica” has opened up offices in Hawaii, including one in Waipahu. They claimed that this was a pyramid scheme which was not to be trusted. The same user also wrote, “I had a random person interrupt my grocery shopping asking if I wanted to make my first million dollars. They then started talking about some MLM schemes. Also, an old classmate from highschool started mass DMing people if they wanted to make their first million as well.”
No, we’re not talking about those kinds of Hawaiian pyramids!
This prompted a discussion where other Hawaiians had experienced very similar things lately. Here, one person commented: “I hate those scammers, I got bothered like three times this year from these scammers while shopping at the mall and grocery shopping.” while another added, “I had a high school classmate who tried to get me and one of my friends into the pyramid scheme Primerica. My former classmate had his mentor, who nicknames himself a “doctor,” speak with me over the phone. Very pushy guy.”
As always in life, if it seems too good to be true then it probably is. Remember, most often success comes from hard work and dedication, and if someone is that pushy with a product, then it’s probably for good reason.
