HUGE Arches are being built in Miami – However, there’s a simple explanation
If you’ve driven around Miami lately, then you may have spotted a pair of rather large arches beginning to take shape around the Biscayne Boulevard area. These look huge and equally as ambitious. However, do you know what the endgame will be?
It turns out that these have been going on for years – and the end is not in sight. Basically, this in a big project that is dubbed the ‘I-395 ‘Signature Bridge.’ It actually first commenced before Covid, but was delayed due to the lockdown, and was initially scheduled to be finished within the next few years. However, as is often the case with large construction projects, it’s actually set to finish around 2027. Nonetheless, although it may look a bit brutalist right now, it’s going to look stunning when completed – and you can see for yourself below.
Now you can see what the arches will look like. It also shows just how much work is yet to be done. Right now, we can see two arches that are halfway done, yet in the above picture, there are a total of six arches, so it shows the scale of the project.
As you’d expect, this is not going to be cheap either and has an expected cost of over $800. Ironically, it’s also a bridge that doesn’t even go over water. Even still, we can all agree that when it is finally built, it will genuinely look spectacular and shine a light on the area. Until then, locals will have to put up with a lot of construction and concrete for now, but in a few years time it may be worth the wait.
