Huge Military Convoy Spotted in Costco Car Park – However there is a simple reason why
Yesterday, a Wichita resident was dumbfounded to see a military convoy in the Costco car park in Wichita. Obviously, this isn’t exactly a normal sight to see and at first glance, it may even make you a little nervous. However, there is a simple explanation and although it’s quite a rarity, it’s also nothing to worry about.
It turns out that this was a group of the national guard (also known as army reserves) who were probably moving equipment around or traveling somewhere locally to do drills. Most major cities have a national guard, and Wichita is no different. Having said this, it’s understandable that you’d be shocked if you turned up at Costco to get supplies and saw a bunch of armored vehicles!
Some even saw the funny side of this, and one local commented on social media: “Because Costco’s $1.50 hot dogs and $5 rotisserie chickens are a threat to national security and must be eliminated.” – In fairness, a $1.50 hot dog really is a threateningly good bargain in this day and age.
Elsewhere, someone theorized a more serious narrative, that they were stopping off to get fuel at AIT. So, there you have it. Unfortunately, if you’re a fan of this kind of stuff, it’s a pretty unusual occurrence and you may have to wait years until you see something like this again.
This is more than likely a unit enroute or returning from the two week annual training. Along with one weekend a month a two week traing cycle completes the obligation that is in every army national guard and army reserve contract. So calm down snowflakes they aren’t after you
