HUGE Swarm of Cops spotted in Leeland and Emancipation
This week saw a huge swarm of cop cars at Leeland and Emancipation, Houston. In fact, there were a total of more than 20 cars on the site, and a fire truck for good measure. Interestingly, this didn’t pick up much media attention, but one local claimed that it was due to a hit and run. Online, they wrote: “I was involved. Hit and run. A 15 year old stole the car, ran a red light, hitting me and two others.”
Over the years, a lot of stuff has gone down at the Leeland and Emancipation intersection, so this is pretty normal by its sketchy standards. Thankfully, the local also confirmed that they were ok but a little shaken up which is completely understandable.
Judging by the image, it looks like the car was apprehended in the photo above, which would make sense considering the sheer amount of police on the site. Looking at the right of the image, it also appears that a silver car may also be in the process of being towed away, which could have been one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
Sadly, this shows just how dangerous car jacking can be – but it’s also good to see the Houston police force taking it seriously and getting the job done. Had this not been the case then it could have always been much worse. As mentioned earlier, the good news is that no one got hurt.
