ICONIC Denver Restaurant re-opens for beta testing…you may have heard of it from a certain TV show

Arguably, the most iconic Denver restaurant is close to returning. Specifically, we’re talking about Casa Bonita which gained worldwide fame after getting featured on the TV cartoon Southpark. The episode, named Casa Bonita was first released nearly 20 years ago and has since gone on to achieve cult status with Southpark fans – as it is seen as one of the greatest episodes on the show.

Off-air, this did wonders for Casa Bonita as it highlighted its quirks on a large scale. As a result, thousands of people would visit on a yearly basis to experience it in person. Overall, Southpark did it justice and captured its charm and magic. Here, people could dine on Mexican food while watching professionals dive into deep waters. Not only this but the restaurant also had other features such as magicians, entertainers, and was generally a real spectacle. Because of this, the term ‘restaurant’ isn’t really fitting for the experience that Casa Bonita provided.

So, when is it actually coming back? Casa Bonita is due to return next month but has opened for small crowds for the time being. This is a sensible decision, considering that if it opened at once, it would probably be overwhelmed with a masse of guests.

This comes after Southpark owners Matt Stone and Trey Parker bought the restaurant a couple of years back. Sadly, the original Casa Bonita closed down in 2021 after feeling the crippling effects of lockdown. Since then, the pair pumped over $40 million into their beloved project, which included hiring over 500 new staff members. With this said, the city long awaits the homecoming of Casa Bonita which sounds like it will be more fabulous than ever!

Don’t go hungry. While trying to be upscale, they missed badly. Won’t go back.

$40. For an entree. A lot too steep for an entree
