Is this the best Poutine restaurant in Toronto? All the Torontonians are saying the same thing
When it comes to Toronto, the natives are very proud of their main cuisine. By this, we can only mean one thing. Specifically, we’re on about the beloved poutine. Poutine originated in Quebec in the 1950s and has since become world-famous and commonly associated with Canada.
With this in mind, the idea of serving the best poutine in Toronto is something that is seriously debated amongst Torontonians. In a recent discussion on social media though, there was one clear winner that stood way beyond any potential competitors. And this was Anny’s Dairy Bar in New West. In fact, the vast majority were in unison that the poutine there was pretty great.
However, it wasn’t just their poutine that got rave reviews. Locals also discussed the deliciousness of the Maple Twist Soft Serve which is about as calorific as it sounds. Speaking on the poutine, one said, “I love it because it’s run by people from Quebec so they get the details right. Even serving their large in a tin pie plate. They also have like 30+ options and variations like places in Montreal do if you want to get crazy with toppings.” whilst another added, “Anny’s is phenomenal!! I’ve also been to la belle on Davis, and I found there was a bit too much gravy, but it was damn good!”
With this said, it seems as though Anny’s on New West truly is the queen of poutine in Toronto. Disagree? Let us know in the comments.
