Is This The Best Value Pizza In Portland? Just $7 for 12″
Many people who live locally will already know that Life of Pie in Portland is a popular pizzeria located at 3632 N Williams Ave, Portland, OR 97227. The restaurant is known for its wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizza and offers a variety of toppings, including both classic and creative options. In addition to pizza, the restaurant also serves salads, sandwiches, and craft beers. Overall, Life of Pie has received positive reviews for its food, atmosphere, and friendly service.
What most residents don’t know is that each day the restaurant runs a “Happy Hour” from 11AM – 6PM each day where you can score a bargain margherita pizza for just $7. As the current minimum wage in the Portland Metro area is $14.75 per hour, this is a real bargain and you will likely not find anything cheaper than this anywhere else. Furthermore, before the whole Covid saga, this pizza offer was originally $5, with a glass of win being just $4!
Whilst the pizza is still relatively basic, it is 12 inches and only costs $7. If we were to compare this to Dominos and Papa Johns – these Pizzas are take away and cost $8 and $13 respectively. You can’t sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy a house beer either. Also, Life of Pie is well known to keep infused chilli oil on the table too – which is a big hit with customers. Of course, won’t find this kind of thing in a takeaway pizzeria.
Strangely enough, despite it’s relatively expensive cost of living, Oregon is the 4th cheapest state in America when it comes to pizza, losing out to the likes of North Dakota and Rhode Island.
If you know of anywhere in Portland that offers a cheaper deal on pizza than this, please let us know in the comments!
