A recent photo showed gas prices in the Mount Royal GetGo which shocked Pittsburgh locals. This was because they were selling gas for a mere $2.75 per gallon. It’s fair to say that these prices haven’t been seen for quite some time, and it’s nice to see some good news for a change.

In fact, others have claimed that with Advantage Pay, you can get even less at GetGo which shows that it pays to be savvy and keep your eye on the ball. Of course, not everyone uses Advantage Pay with some being paranoid about Giant Eagle having access to your account. Regardless, if it works then it works, right?

If you miss this price then according to various locals, Sheetz has also been doing solid gas prices for some time as well – whereby you can often pick up gas for $2.99 per gallon. However, actually finding these places may actually be harder to do in reality, with gas under $3 almost seeming like a unicorn around these parts.

Apparently, the recent drop in Pittsburgh gas prices is due to a price war between Sheetz and GetGo. Honestly, as far as the consumer is concerned – we’re all for it. It’s not every day that the little man wins in corporate America, so if you live local – then you may as well take advantage of these prices while you can, as knowing the economy lately, they won’t last forever.
