Is this the worst parking in San Francisco? Locals SLAM ‘Selfish Driver’
Despite being a generally beautiful city, it’s fair to say that San Francisco has some faults which are pretty specific to the area. One of these faults is the parking. Sometimes, people park in very selfish, obstructive ways which don’t really help other people out. As seen in the photo below, this was sadly one of those occasions.
According to the photographer – this car (the silver Toyota) was stationary, which means it was blocking both a driveway and a bike lane. Bizarrely, there is clearly enough space on the street for the car to park elsewhere, in a safer, less awkward way. Nonetheless, like many bad drivers, it seems that logic is absent in this person’s decision-making skills.
Unsurprisingly, San Franciscans were quick to blast the anonymous driver on social media, with one saying “Because they think nothing applies to them like it does decent people”, whilst another added, “These people are absolutely infuriating. Whenever I pass someone double parked like that I make sure to give them a nice jolting HONK. I know it doesn’t do much for the moment but draws attention to an inconsiderate idiot and makes them mad as hell lol.”
Sadly, this isn’t the first time that someone has been seen parking like this – and it probably won’t be the last either. As mentioned earlier, for all its positives, this parking behavior seems pretty unique to San Francisco and doesn’t show any signs of going away soon. On a positive note, it’s good to see people get called out for this sort of stuff whereby the whole community can agree that it is bad behavior.
