“It could have been fatal” – Charlotte driver SLAMS into guardrail on WT Harris
Recently, a Charlotte driver uploaded dashcam footage showing an incredibly dangerous driver who could have fatally crashed while on WT Harris in Charlotte. Here, they overtook at a blistering pace before trying to overtake another car further ahead. At this point, they temporarily crashed into the guardrail before rebounding back into the road. After this, they skidded for a while and it looked like they may have crashed yet again. Thankfully, they took back of the car and continued driving.
Interestingly, the dashcam footage shows that the driver filming it was going at 64 MPH, so it’s highly possible that the person who crashed was going around 100 MPH. It goes without saying that it’s a dumb idea to try and pull off a tight movement such as a close overtaking when you’re going at such a speed.
This shows just how stupid drivers can be in Charlotte and it also makes you wonder what would have happened without the guardrail in place. It’s likely that the offender may have even crashed into a tree at this point, which also shows how guardrails can save lives despite being taken for granted.
