“It’s the biggest line ever” – Residents react to MASSIVE Rock Springs queue
Undoubtedly, Rock Springs is one of the most beautiful parks in the country, let alone Orlando. However, sometimes beauty comes at a price. And Orlando residents will know all too well of this price after the past weekend. This is because the line to enter the park went way beyond the norm, leaving people waiting for hours to enter.
As seen in the image below, this queue literally went out of the picture and far beyond into the distance. Arguably, there was some irony in seeing a horde of man-made cars lining up to visit a natural park.
This would have been worsened by the Miami heat which would have made sitting in your car even less appealing. Nonetheless, the ends justify the means and for some, it was well worth it due to the unique allure of Rock Springs.
Speaking on the line, one local had this to say, “I was there yesterday and it was just like this. We got there at 7:45 (it opens at 8) and were one of the last 15 cars to get a ticket to get admittance. Otherwise, they tell you to try again at 1pm. Definitely, a slow process as we didn’t get inside the park until 9 but once you get in it’s fantastic”
One person even went as far to blame influencers, claiming that it wasn’t always like this and the waiting only worsened over the past couple of years, stating, “It wasn’t like this even eight years ago. Social media and population growth have been a double whammy of herd mentality for local activities. Some islands on the gulf coast have hours-long traffic jams to get onto the islands.”
Irrespective of opinions, it looks as though this is the new normal if you want to visit Rock Springs in the summertime. Admittance is $3 per car which isn’t bad considering what’s on offer – but be warned, you may be in for a long wait!
Just watched a video on the park. Floating in a tube ,made me feel like a cafeteria tray for alligators. Think I’ll pass . To much walking, not for seniors with any handicap. Looks beautiful though.
