Unless you were living under a rock recently, you’d be well aware of the sweltering heat in Houston over the past few days. It’s fair to say that it’s been a hot summer. This makes the photo below even more puzzling, which showed a huge queue literally circling round the block. Why was this queue son long? Because people wanted to taste the food of the Breakfast Klub. In fairness, this restaurant is beloved by locals, and for good reason. It goes without saying that if people are willing to put up with irritating heat to taste chicken and waffles, then they must be damn good!

In fairness, Breakfast Klub often has huge queues but in this weather, you’d have to be really hungry to wait for such a long time. There is another explanation though. Having said this, not everyone agreed that it was worth the wait. Some locals even argued that the fast food at Yoyo’s was superior and provided a better option.

Another person also said this, “Most of these “brunch” spots overcharge for everything. It’s so cheap to make a waffle, let alone fried chicken, and yet many of these establishments charge $20+ for a chicken and waffle plate. I actually liked the food at Breakfast Klub, but I can’t justify paying that much for chicken and waffles on a regular basis.”

Whatever your thoughts on the huge line, one thing is for sure – if you’re the owner of Breakfast Klub then you’d be very happy as the restaurant must be raking it in! If you think it’s worth the wait, or whether there’s better fast food options please let us know.
