Milwaukee restaurant sign WARNS Kia & Hyundai customers due to one chilling reason
You may have lately heard of the spate of Milwaukee burglaries whereby Kia and Hyundai vehicles are targeted. This isn’t exclusive to Milwaukee either – and is a nationwide issue that is currently going on. Here, gangs calling themselves the ‘Kia Boyz‘ will brazenly break into certain Kia models as well as Hyundai’s to gain easy access. This is because specific models are built with a design fault that makes them easy targets.
Because of this, a Milwaukee restaurant recently put up a sign that reads: “Notice – Please mention if you drive a Kia or Hyundai vehicle to the host (no, having one of these cars won’t get you a free beer.)”
Presumably, the reason for this is so that these cars can be watched over by staff for security reasons so that diners can eat in peace. Sadly, this also shows just how bad these car crimes have gotten lately.
This sign was put up by the Lakefront Brewery which is one of the biggest breweries in the city. And, while their sign sees the funny side of things (with the free beer joke), it also highlights the seriousness that currently comes with owning certain car models.
Apparently, if you do have one of these cars, then you can even use a reserved spot that is looked after, which in fairness, is a very nice touch from the Lakefront Brewery. Such is the seriousness of these crimes, is that Kia and Hyundai also recently faced a $200 million lawsuit which says it all.
This is really awesome that you care about your customers. What a sad and horrible world we live in!!!! People want what you work for for free. Ughs!!!!
To hear about this restaurant watching over Kias & Hyndai’s vehicles is really cool to see that the company cares about what is going on in the city. I mean you hear about ALOT of people also stealing people’s catholic converters off of random cars as well! It’s not just a certain vehicle it is all vehicles that should be watched. It’s a nice touch though. Maybe most or all places should be more like the Brewery and show that they care!
