Moscow Mules
It has been a while since my latest cocktail post! Don’t worry, I haven’t stopped enjoying them 🙂 haha! But it has been an extremely busy couple of weeks here at House Hubbard. We’ve been traveling, hosting guests, oh, and shopping for a NEW CAR! We leveled up to an awesome Toyota RAV-4 this weekend!
So naturally, we needed a celebratory cocktail.
I have definitely made Moscow Mules many times, but this is the first one in a long time I’ve made with Rachel’s Ginger Beer, which is in my opinion the best ginger beer on Planet Earth. It’s spicy but balanced and is less sweet than many of the bottled competitors… and the reason? Because it’s so fresh, I think! RGB is based in Seattle and I used to go every time I traveled there, but they finally opened up a Portland shop on SE Hawthorne. I can’t believe it took me so long to get in, but I finally stopped by last week for a work meeting.
I love enjoying RGB on its own, but it’s SO much fun to mix into cocktails. I know mules are all the rage, but so often they are too sweet for my preference. This recipe is designed specifically to pair with RGB soda – if you try it with another ginger beer, I recommend adding more lime juice to balance the sweetness. I’m so glad to have a mule recipe I’m happy with.
By the way, this post is not sponsored in any way – in case you were wondering. I just really love this stuff!
