In recent times, bubble tea has swept across the USA and now there’s yet another bubble tea spot coming to Newark. The image below was photographed on 194 Market Street and says “Coming soon – Moge Tee.” It also promises bubble tea, chicken wings, and the Chinese kitchen experience. This comes after many eastern cities have seen Moge Tee locations pop up lately, with over 65 stores now in the USA.

Having said this, life may not be smooth for this particular eatery. This is because it was previously an empanada spot – and before that, it was also FAJR’s fish fry which was a seafood joint. In other words, this location doesn’t seem to have a track record when it comes to offering food.

Nonetheless, Newark residents were still pleased to see it opening up – with one local claiming: “Looking forward to Dunplings, Sushi, Korean food coming soon too – nice to have more options, variety is the spice of life after all!”

However, not everyone was as optimistic, and another person pointed out that this would be Newark’s fifth bubble tea spot – pointing out previous waves including falafel and cup cake gimmicks of the past. Irrespective of this however, if one place is going to survive it will be Moge Tee who seems to know what they’re doing. On a final note, it’s good for the local economy to see places like this re-open instead of staying dormant for years as well.
