Orlando customers are NOT happy with this one Plumbing Company
A man recently wrote about his experiences using a well-known Orlando plumbing company on the popular website, Reddit. Here, his story was that his elderly mother needed repairs to her faucet and to un-stick the bathroom sink stopper. The company in question quoted $1,231 for this work, so he instead ordered a faucet from Amazon and installed it himself – costing a mere $70 instead.
It turns out that a lot of other Orlando residents had a similar experience with the same company and weren’t happy with its pricing. So, who was the company? Specifically, the man’s issues were with Frank Gay Plumbing, who have operated in the area for years.
In this thread, there were literally hundreds of comments, and many were less than complimentary about the company. Another person wrote: “Frank Gay is one of the WORST experiences I’ve ever had. They don’t send repair people, they send sales people. Everything is an up-sell. They fear monger. Their estimates are ridiculous. They prey on the uninformed. Frank Gay can go away. DO NOT USE. Your best bet is to find a local handyman. Try the NextDoor app for recommendations.”
Similarly, another wrote “They are a joke. I needed a new electrical panel and some 10ga wires run like 15ft. A local electrician quoted $3500. I got frank Gay out to get a second quote, they wanted $20,000 for the same job. And demanded a $100 fee to come out to quote me. I literally had to print out their website saying that there are no fees for electrical service quotes. Scam artists.”
It would be very interesting to hear the side of these stories from Frank Gay and what they had to say for themselves. However, it seems like the Orlando locals may be turning off the taps on this particular plumbing company.
They are the pits. Used them in the past boy broke my pipe and charged me more than $600.00
To replace a shower head and change the shower handle. Unless you want to.be ripped off pass on them for your plumbing job.
On one social media site that I have there are so many complaints about Frank Gay Plumbing that it is criminal! I have heard they used to be great company but when Frank Gay passed away..the business was sold and this is when all of these complaints started!

Frank Gay bought Kiley Plumbing in The Villages, FL. I think they kept the same phone number. Anyone who used Kiley in the past beware of Frank Gay Plumbing. A huge number of people have complained on our local websites about this ripoff company. They deserve to be out of business according to many reviews.
I had them at my house yesterday. They did a great job. The price was reasonable. They guy explained everything, made suggestions. Fixed the problem. Didn’t try to sell me stuff I didn’t need. My son also used them last week. Again no problems. I will use them again. He even told me what the other company did wrong
All I got to say I would never use them again they over charge me big time. I always read reviews and that day I didn’t. I looked after the facts
Frank Gay is a rip off! They have been practicing like this even before the original owner Frank Gay passed away and the company was sold. I had them out to exchange my kitchen faucet, bathroom faucet and bathroom tub faucet and they charged me $1100. I bought my own faucets. The guy left for two hours for lunch and they ripped out a big hole in my adjacent bedroom closet wall to put the faucet in the tub and didn’t tell me. They are the worst of the worst and so expensive!!! Never again.
My neighbor had a water leak under his mobile home. They c a me, changed a fitting, took at the most 45 minutes with my help, charged $525.00. Ridiculous.
