It’s fair to say that St. Patrick’s Day was an eventful time in Portland for various reasons. However, one cool fact to come out of it, is that Paddy’s Irish Pub broke a Guinness World Record. On March 17th, they attempted to create the largest Irish coffee ever made and successfully accomplished this goal. As seen, it’s quite a large cup to say the least and was a pretty big operation!

Before, the world record stood at 888 liters of coffee, however Paddy’s smashed this record out of the ballpark, by creating a 1,000 liter coffee. This would not have been cheap to create and needed a customized container to hold the liquid due to its sheer volume.

At the same time, Portlander’s should worry as a regular coffee costs a mere $5 from Paddy’s. As ever, Portland is known for its quirky style, so this world record only adds to its unique and intriguing nature!
