Savannah locals recently rejoiced as a local Pizza Hut announced that its legendary buffet was returning and that it was even hiring in anticipation of the new venture. This buff was created after a local photographed the announcement that was seen on the sign of the Abercorn Southside location – at Windsor Forest between Largo and Mercy Blvd.

Although this Pizza Hut has been around for years, the buffet has long gone and is often associated with 90s nostalgia, when the chain was at the peak of its powers. This makes it even more understandable when viewed through the eyes of the older generation.

One Savannah local went as far as to proclaim this announcement as “The return of the king!” in relation to the buffet coming back to life. However, not everyone was convinced, as another person wrote, “Give it up guys. You can keep chasing 90s Hut all you want, but the food is just worse now. I remember talking to someone who used to work for Pizza Hut in the late 80s and 90s. He basically said it wasn’t really nostalgia talking, that the food really was better and fresher back in the day. These days a lot of things are more frozen, etc. So even if the buffet is offered, don’t expect it to be even remotely as good.”

Although this person probably has a realistic point, try convincing other people of this! Unfortunately, we don’t know when this is happening, but you can guarantee that the Pizza Hut in question will be booming when it returns.
