Savvy locals spot new Microcenter being built in Indianapolis
Computer fans of Indianapolis were in a state of happiness yesterday when a savvy local spotted that a new Microcenter shop was being built in the area. This was seen by two different signs being put up (on the back and front of the premises) which showed that it was on its way. It turns out that this news has been around for a while and has also been mentioned on the Microcenter website – however, it looks like the final touches are now being made and the shop will be opened to the public next month.
For those out of the loop, Microcenter is a popular store amongst gamers and PC users, as it sells parts needed to build home computers and other materials associated with PCs such as graphics cards and keyboards. First founded in 1979, it has now spread to various states in the US, and is finally coming to Indianapolis. Speaking on their excitement, one local wrote, “I’m so happy to see a retailer that’s not another furniture store taking over that space!” while another added, “If you build your own PC then it’s Mecca.”
A view from afar. If you look closely enough, you can make out the finishing touches being applied to the signage.
Fans of the store can visit on at – but firstly, you’ll have to wait a few weeks before you can start building your new computer. The address will be MicroCenter, 5702 E 86th St, Indianapolis, IN 46250 and is next to the Costco.
