Shocking DINE & DASH Caught On CCTV In Portland Bag O Crab Restaurant
In an increasingly alarming trend of non-payment dining, Portland Bag O Crab employees tried to stop a pre-planned dine and dash experience in their restaurant. When the group had finished eating, the waiting staff were probably expecting a tip for their efforts, but instead were blindsided by a run for the exists.
In the short video, the staff put up a reasonably good fight, but were caught off guard, with most people not really realizing what was going on until it was too late. Other customers of the restaurant had the same experience, with many looking around in pure shock and disbelief of what was truly happening. One smaller woman is able to restrain a man for a few seconds, but he eventually overpowers her and breaks in to a sprint.
Perhaps the most digusting feature about the entire incident is that the group of 4 thieves had already asked staff to bag up their leftover food and are more than happy to walk past these same hard workers in order to get out of the door without paying.
The non-paying group of customers emerges from the back of the restaurant with hoods up and masks over their faces in order to keep their identity secret. The smallest member of the group is challenged by a waitress, but makes a quick escape around the back of a table cluster, whilst the 3 taller diners are able to make a beeline for the front door.
Perhaps most stupidly, if there are any cameras at the back of the restaurant, then the non-paying customers will have already revealed who they are whilst eating their food. Even if the 3 men were able to eat a full meal with their hoods up, the female of the group was not wearing a hooded jacket. Quite clearly, the theft was planned in advance, but it appears that not too much thought went in to the details.
This has prompted serving staff within the city to claim that this kind of incident is not too uncommon and happens a few times per week.
Do you recognize any of the 4 thieves from the footage above?
