Recently taken images showed Smoke’s Smokehouse BBQ burned to the ground yet again. This popular BBQ restaurant has been a staple of Delaware cuisine for years but also seems to be one of the unluckiest when it comes to fire. This is because it has burned down a few times over the years and now it seems to be a sad but reoccurring theme.

The reason for the current blaze is unknown – but as seen in the image below, the damage is very severe and most of the venue has been reduced to charred ash. As a result, you would expect this to be a very expensive repair job as both buildings would need to be completely revamped.

Although tragic, the irony wasn’t lost on Delaware locals who were quick to make puns about the fate of Smoke’s and made jokes about its name and theme which coincided with it burning to the ground. Having said this, it does seem a bit too soon and distasteful considering this is someone’s business we’re talking about.

On a similar, serious note – it’s also good that no one got hurt when the fire broke out. As mentioned earlier, it is not yet known if Smoke’s was the victim of arson or whether this was some kind of BBQ fault that lead to a fire.

Nonetheless, the good news is that this venue has bounced back from similar problems in the past, so hopefully, it makes a swift recovery.
