A brazen Tampa package thief was caught on camera yesterday as she allegedly stole from someone’s front yard. Although distressing for the victim, they at least caught her on their Ring doorbell which showed the woman in the act. This took place mid-day in the Greater Carrollwood neighborhood and understandably, the victim wasn’t happy.

They claimed that the culprit drove up to the house in a silver Highlander car and took two packages while looking directly into the camera. What’s worse is that this seemed like a premeditated robbery due to the use of a car, as if they were scoping out the area for an easy target.

Although Porch Pirating is a serious crime, Tampa locals were quick to mock the alleged thief on social media, pointing out her botched lips and dry ends in the process. One even went as far as to say “Please provide a more detailed description. We can’t be looking out for 80% of Tampa.” This shows the trashy stereotype is very prevalent around these parts.

Another person wasn’t as joking though and had a more cynical outlook, adding, “They don’t care about the camera because they know the cops won’t do anything anyway. Sorry this happened, hope she’s found.”

Unfortunately, there may be an element of truth in that statement. Nonetheless, we can only hope that she is found and brought to justice. So, if you have any whereabouts of this woman then please contact us or the Tampa police department.
