Taste of Minnesota BLASTED for ‘rude’ social media response
This weekend saw the Taste of Minnesota food festival which mostly had good reviews. If you were a foodie in the region then it’s fair to say that this event would have been right up your street. However, one resident from Minneapolis shared a DM between themselves and the events social media team, and they were less than impressed.
As seen in the screenshot below, they basically asked if they could bring in water, or whether the event had a hydration fountain. The response was blunt at best, and quite rude at worst. Here, the responder simply wrote ‘Yes.’ and ‘No.’ before referring them to a medic tent if they needed hydration.
Obviously, it’s been a hot summer so far so you’d want to be safe knowing there was water freely available, especially if lines to buy water where very long. This can happen at popular festivals as well whereby queues can quickly form.
It should be stated that despite this rude response, this is just one aspect of the Taste of MN, and the individual handling their social media pages may not be representative of the company as a whole. Nonetheless, it certainly doesn’t give off a very friendly vibe and if your job was to handle DM’s, you’d expect someone to be a bit more enthusiastic, especially when the questions weren’t taxing either. Hopefully, the Taste of MN look into this person’s behavior.
