The ‘Most SELFISH’ parking ever seen in Austin
Over the years, gas-guzzling SUVs have curated a negative stereotype of selfish, arrogant drivers. While most of the time this cliche is exaggerated, a recent photo taken outside of the Deep Eddy pool in Austin showed that sometimes, this stereotype is very accurate.
Here, it showed a white Toyota parked in a total of three spaces. Furthermore, this also blocked off the car behind it – and even towed a boat which took up even more parking spots. In total, between the car and boat, they took up a collective eight parking spaces. Obviously, a large car and boat may take up three or four spaces at maximum, but this shows just how selfish the driver truly was.
This prompted a lot of outrage from Texans, who said “I saw this in person today. Truly incredible level of entitlement. The staff at Deep Eddy had already called 311 to have it removed. Who knows how long that will take. I was pleased to see three separate hand-written notes on the windshield, all saying bad things. Hopefully, he finds those when he picks it up from impound.”
This sort of reaction is to be expected when your vehicles literally take up eight parking spots, especially in a venue that is already competitive for parking. However, one person did see the funny side and joked, “Do they know there’s no launch ramp at Deep Eddy? Who brings a boat to a pool?”
As ever, this is a kindly reminder to be nice when parking as it literally only takes a few seconds to park properly and avoid inconveniencing others because of this.
I would have flattened his tires.
