This week, a photo of a man from Eugene went viral. And according to the man in question, there is one main reason why he covers himself in white paint. Interestingly, if you were given 1,000 guesses – then you would probably never get his reason. So, what is it?

The man said that his reason was that robot cockroaches were after him, which was his reason for covering his body in paint. Seeing the funny side, some people joked that in fairness to him, there were no robot cockroaches in sight – so perhaps his plan was working after all. He was photographed on West 11th and sums up the large contingent of zany characters you may see around Eugene.

Now the white bucket makes sense, which may be filled with paint. According to the person that photographed him, the man believed that the white paint made him invisible to the robot cockroaches. All jokes aside, not everyone saw the funny side of this – with one person writing, “Depending on what kind of paint that is, he’s probably going to die in today or tomorrow’s heat if he doesn’t get it off himself. I sure hope he gets taken in for his own safety.” and due to the heatwave in the area, they may have a good point.

Others pointed out that this man was probably on drugs and while we can’t say this is a certainty, it looks highly probable given his story and appearance.
