Let’s face it, most of the time Atlanta is a great place and it’s certainly better than a lot of other US cities to compare it with. However, if there’s one thing that everyone can agree on – it’s the traffic. And wow, Atlanta’s traffic is notoriously bad. In fact, if you were to ask most Atlantans, they’d agree that this is the main thing they’d change about the city. Overall, it often ranks as one of the worst cities in the US for traffic.

With this said, this particular meme had us in stitches as it perfectly summed up the traffic in Atlanta. As seen below, there’s an image of the Atlanta traffic when commuting which is gridlocked, then there’s a lane right next to it while at work which is completely empty.

If you think about it logically though, this image actually makes sense – as most people set off at the same time due to working 9-5 hours, so realistically you’d expect the roads to be quieter in between working hours.

Nonetheless, there does seem to be something uncanny about Atlanta where the traffic always seems to hit its peak just as you’re setting off. On a serious note, there is often a lot of truth to be found in memes, and this also represents a serious issue with Atlanta’s transport infrastructure.
