Tulsa woman publicly shamed as ‘Homewrecker’ – But did it go TOO far?
A recently placed sign was photographed on 21st and Garnett today which read, “I am a homewrecker, I knew he was married.” This also included an image of the woman, as well as her real name, the man’s real name, and what we can assume to be her phone number. We have blurred these details out for obvious reasons.
As they say, there’s no greater motivator than a broken heart – and it seems that the woman who was heartbroken decided to go nuclear on her love rival. Having said this, it seems like this is a form of harsh doxing which goes beyond revenge. In fact, displaying someone’s information like this in public is not only cruel but also slanderous.
Interestingly, Tulsans were quick to point out the holes in this sign on social media, with one smartly pointing out: “I love when they focus on the other woman instead of where the real fault lies – their loser husband.”
Elsewhere, another person wrote “I have a problem with public shaming and sharing the girl’s personal information like her phone number. How is that the right way to respond? Not to mention how are you not mad at your husband?”
At the same time, we’re not defending the alleged homewrecker (or the husband!) as cheating is always bad. Nonetheless, it seems that this has definitely gone too far and is an invasion of personal privacy.
