Tulsans BASH this one restaurant for alleged food poisoning

July 6, 2023 by 7 Comments

As a city, generally Tulsans are known to get on with things and take problems in their stride. However, a recent discussion on social media saw the residents of Tulsa bash this one local restaurant. This conversation started after a recent visit, where a man and his girlfriend allegedly got food poisoning after eating there.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time that people have criticized this particular venue either. In fact, its nationwide image isn’t much better and at this point, it’s often associated with bad events after dining there. Haven’t guessed it yet? Specifically, we’re talking about the Taco Bell at 51st and Yale.

The post on social media claimed that the man and his girlfriend were ‘traumatized’ and that they planned on reporting the eatery to the health department. They also said, “We were sick all day yesterday, achey, malaise, vomiting, and diarrhea. Please do NOT go there.”

Responding, it seemed to be a common theme with other Tulsans, who had this to say: “That really is the worst Taco Bell in the country. I have never gotten the correct order there and they somehow manage to mess up everything they make.” while another added: “You aren’t the first and you won’t be the last. That location tore me up back in 2007”

In fact, there were numerous, similar comments which showed that people weren’t impressed. Historically, Taco Bell does have a reputation for causing these sorts of reactions. Nonetheless, this venue still seems like an outlier. If you have any similar stories about this place, then let us know in the comments.

That is very nasty. These people have bad hygiene they don’t care anything about a person who’s coming to buy food they’re very nasty and they need to be closed down.

Ate there about a week after they got power back. They were completely out of cheese, gave us the wrong order twice, refused to give me my money back, only a replacement. I ordered chicken and got steak that smelled weird. What little bit I did eat was weird and both me and my husband ended up with food poisoning from it. Worst Taco Bell ever!

I haven’t eaten Mexican fast food in over 40 years due to stomach issues everything, just quit. If I want Mexican, I go to a restaurant.

Wow!!! I live about 3miles from this Taco Bell. I have experienced wrong order’s. Trying to get the correct order is not pleasant, employees get a attitude. I ordered 3 tacos but got, shell, lettuce, cheese, after all this I changed Taco Bell’s to 61st & Mingo Rd so much better. Yes I enjoy going to authentic Mexican restaurants.Taco Bell has a good flavor.
Never had a bad experience at 61st & Mingo Rd
