WACKY story sees Sanican Truck stolen in Portland
Unfortunately, Portland has long been involved in car crime. Often, these crimes are drug-related, whereby desperate thieves will steal cars and try to sell them for cash. Whilst this isn’t acceptable, it is understandable given the context, and in fairness it’s not exclusive to Portland either.
However, usually when you think of stolen vehicles, it’s generic cars – and not huge Sanican trucks. Step forward, to this wacky theft that was featured on a local Facebook page earlier this week. Of all the vehicles to steal, why on earth would you rob this one?!
As seen, this was stolen from NE Portland and was made in 2021. Interestingly, the tracker was removed from it – which hints that this may have been a professional job, and not your regular chancer.
For those that don’t know Sanican is a brand of portaloo which means they’re filled with human waste. These trucks are used to transport and collect said waste – so you could go as far to claim that the thief literally stole a truck full of crap!
On a more serious note though, this is still a serious crime – and as you’d expect, a truck like this would be very expensive brand new – which is made worse considering that it was made just two years back. So, as the original picture shows, if you have any information on it then please let the authorities know.
