Washington locals are all saying the same thing about this Fantasy Metro Map
The Washington Metro system has been around for decades and since its creation has grown to a sizeable service. Having said this, it’s still not perfect and as the city grows, it sometimes struggles to grow with it. Because of this, those in further out areas such as Rockville and beyond sometimes argue that the system could be more efficient.
Recently, a mock-image occurred, showing a new and much-improved metro line. This showed lots of new additions and a few new lines. However, some Washington locals were also quick to point out that it still had no red line which seems to be elusive, even for fantasy metro systems.
Locals were incredibly complimentary towards this map – with one even going as far as to call it beautiful. Another person praised its sensible efficiency saying, “I like that you made Union Station a hub. Anacostia still needs more service.”
Having said this, not everyone was completely won over – with a different person claiming: “I like it, but why did Judiciary Square get moved down to the Mall? It should be a straight line from Gallery Place to Union Station.”
Sadly, this map is nothing more than a fantasy for the moment, and although the Washington Metro will grow in the future, it won’t be for a long while yet. Nonetheless, it’s always good to see creative ideas to see how to improve the infrastructure of the city.
