Wild Water Buffalo spotted in Charlotte Suburbs

When thinking about life in the suburbs, most people tend to think of clean lawns, spacious roads, and nice cars. However, yesterday one Buffalo resident spotted a trio of wild water buffalo roaming around without a care in the world!

This picture was taken in the Grove Park neighborhood of the city, and it’s fair to say that the photographer was in for a shock when he casually spotted some huge water buffalo roaming around. Despite their perceived calmness however, it’s not the best decision to approach these beasts – as they can easily kill humans due to their sheer size and power. Most of the time, they’re actually gentle and nice – but if spooked then you may be in for a problem.

Social media quickly speculated on how they ended there. One person claimed that they were the pets of a neighbor who escaped. However, this seems highly unlikely, as the Charlotte suburbs aren’t really a place for pet water buffalo. Another theorized that they could have gotten lost at Linda Lake as Grove Park has quite a confusing layout.

As if this sight wasn’t bizarre enough, it was also capped off by the moped driver in the background. If you look closely, you can make out the shock on his face as he’s forced to do a double-take and check if these buffalo were real or not. Based on this story alone, we can safely say that sometimes, life in the suburbs isn’t quite as mundane as some people make out.
