Sacramento woman borrows friend’s Tesla and STUPIDLY crashes it after running red light
A recent video shows a woman driving her friend’s Tesla in Sacramento. This is filmed from the vehicle’s dash cam which captured the incident from the driver’s point of view. After driving quickly for around 10 seconds, the driver then approached the intersection. Instead of stopping, she then continued and drove straight into a black Chevrolet.
This may have caused the victim serious damage and clearly ruined the side of the car. Here, the Telsa should have stopped but instead went into the driver’s car door. What’s worse is that the Telsa was driving at a significant speed meaning this could have made things a lot worse.
The video was uploaded to Reddit and was titled ‘She borrowed my friend’s Tesla. Still thinks she did nothing wrong.’ The post gained over 1,800 comments of which many lambasted the woman’s driving skills (or server lack of). As seen in the video, the Tesla driver clearly ran a red which makes their defense even more questionable. Nonetheless, sometimes certain drivers do have bad attitudes regarding the safety of other road users.
Reacting to the crash, one user wrote: “Whatever happened to defensive driving? ALWAYS watch for people coming from either direction when you are approaching a green light at an intersection. Jesus Christ people! I always say, in 95% of accidents, it takes two idiots, one who’s the perpetrator, the other who’s oblivious to what the hell is happening around them.”
Clearly, common sense was left at home when this person decided to drive in their friend’s car. On a final note, hopefully no one was badly hurt during this incident.
